Laurie began her career as a registered nurse at McLean Hospital in Belmont, Mass., where she once worked on the bipolar/schizophrenia psychosis unit alongside Dr. Matt Bernstein, now Accord’s chief executive officer and psychiatrist. Since starting at Ellenhorn in 2009, Laurie has served as lead nurse, director of admissions, chief marketing officer and, since 2019, chief operating officer. She has been instrumental in the expansion of Ellenhorn and has now also taken on the role of chief operating officer at Accord, the first-ever residential metabolic-psychiatry program in the world and a sister program of Ellenhorn.
