Katrina Vazquez
Chef Katrina Vazquez discovered her passion for cooking at a young age. Growing up, she was surrounded by women who loved to cook, and as a small child would often find herself in the kitchen helping prepare meals for those she loved. The joy she received watching family and friends enjoy her creations sparked a fire in her to become a chef.
After graduating high school, she made the decision to attend the former Atlantic Culinary Academy in Dover, N.H., where she discovered a profound love for creating soups, sauces and French-style cuisine, and subsequently set off on culinary adventures that included positions in fine restaurants, catering, hotels and corporate dining, until finding her “home” as a residential private chef. At the age of 25 Katrina was diagnosed with celiac disease, an autoimmune disorder triggered by eating gluten, which gave her insight into the importance of diet in everyday health and inspired her passion for helping others find a healthy and happy way to enjoy food in a way that fits their lifestyle. She works one-on-one with clients to help them achieve their dietary goals, whether ketogenic, vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free and so on. Katrina’s passion for food and helping others create beautiful dishes has brought her to join the team at Accord, where she hopes to share her philosophy that “food is love; food is life.”
